ASIGE Basket is innovative sustainable skills empowerment and social enterprise business that turns grass into innovative products for indoor and outdoor events, these unique and ecofriendly and fashionable products are capable of replacing everything plastics. The use of ASIGE products helps reduce the amount of rubbers that goes into the seas and rivers. The project helps to keep our environment safe, empower women to acquire skills, providing employment for rural women and young people who would have been on the streets and at the same time helping to combat climate change and also is sustainable into the foreseeable future. The project is developed, tested and is at the working stage. There is ready market for ASIGE products, currently, ASIGE basketry is sold in the USA, UK, France and researching to reach out to many countries. Finally, the rural women working on the ASIGE project are earning up to 1.5 USD per day, while supporting skills training and reproductive health education
