EMA is a Guaranteed Fair Trade Organisation which operates from India, and caters to buyers abroad. After 46 years in the Fair Trade business, it has just made a foray into the commercial domestic market to scale up its activity and grow further. As a Fair Trade Organisation, EMA’s chief concern is to uplift the economically challenged, physically challenged, destitute women, the minority communities, through its producers and its own Development Centre, not only given the poor artisans and employees a livelihood, but showcased their talent in craftsmanship internationally. That has helped them to earn their well-deserved dignity as well. All the members constitute the general body of this Fair Trade Organisation. The capacity and size of EMA has grown steadily over the years. At present, our clientele spreads all over Europe, Australia, America and New Zealand. EMA’s professional, fair and transparent approach has been rewarded with a good reputation in the field of exports.
EMA is a Fair Trade Organization, EMA has grown substantially and rapidly. It has been able to make a huge difference in the lives of the underprivileged artisans, farmers, other producers and staff, with a new sense of empowerment, economic stability and the right to dignity. We at EMA do not believe in being complacent in our mission. We are committed to grow and expand continually for the betterment of society and all concerned, particularly the underprivileged, the marginalised, the minority groups, women and the physically challenged. That is why we at EMA have now ventured into the domestic commercial market, too. This will provide EMA a stronger identity to its already formidable reputation as an organisation adhering to the 10 Principles of Fair Trade as laid down by the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO). We will continue to make a difference to the economic and social justice, nationally and internationally, empowering our producers to live with dignity. We continue to be tolerant, concerned, transparent and fair in our organisation, respecting and allowing other views and inviting dialogue and resolution of any dispute or problem and even ideas to expand healthily. We pride ourselves in observing strict quality control and being eco-friendly. In short, we adhere to the WFTO principles of Fair Trade.
