El Puente is a social enterprise and a pioneer of Fair Trade. We import products, develop new product lines and open up markets. In doing so, we put people and planet before profit and show that Fair Trade works as a sustainable way of doing business. We are transparent and stand up for organic farming and climate justice, for secure livelihoods and against discrimination and exploitation. Together with cooperatives, social enterprises and organizations, we focus on the interests of producers, artists and workers and are part of a global network. We share knowledge about opportunities, successes and challenges and are advocates for change for a world in which a good life for everyone is possible.
