CHILDREN-Nepal is a non-profit, non -governmental, social and guaranteed Fair Trade organization founded in 1995 that works to promote peace, social justice, environment protection, livelihood and local sustainable development. CN works directly with the children, women and their families by offering programs and service that empowers and help them break away from the effect of discrimination, exploitation and violence based on their caste, disability, gender and social status. CHILDREN-Nepal also runs a Suryamukhi Handicrafts. It has been a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), WFTO-Asia and Fair Trade Group Nepal (FTG-N). Suryamukhi Handicrafts has been striving to empower disadvantaged and low income women by way of developing their vocational skills in sewing, stitching and embroidery.
