About Us
The Allain Baigent Group strives to create a work environment which is safe for our employees while focusing on producing garments that express individuality and enhance the visibility or arts and culture.
Founded in 1993 the company underwent a management change in 2019, just before the pandemic, realising the need for fair employment and transparency. After making it through the pandemic due to efforts from the new management we are looking towards a future in garment production that recognises the value of our employees and focuses on positive development.
Mission Statement
PT Allain Baigent Group was founded in November 2019. A joint merger by Gregory Allain and Mark Baigent. Together, we set out to redefine how our collections are produced, placing sustainability, transparency, and human dignity at the center of an industry that too often overlooks all three.
Allain Baigent Group consists of two distinct brands which share a production facilit: Gado Gado, created exclusively for our French partner and distributed globally through www.toonzshop.com, and Mark Baigent, our avant-garde, gender-inclusive label available at www.markbaigent.com and selected boutiques world wide.
As both manufacturer and brand owner, we design, produce, and distribute our garments in-house. This vertical structure gives us full insight into the production chain, allowing us to communicate openly with our customers and ensure authenticity at every stage.
Our vision is to build a production model in Indonesia that offers security, stability, and dignity to the people behind our work. In a context where trust is rarely a given, we commit to cultivating it, guided by the 10 Fair Trade Principles that shape our daily operations. Our market research and lived experience confirm a clear and rapidly growing demand for honesty, responsibility, and transparency in fashion.
We see our mission as creating safe, equitable workplaces, spaces where every individual is respected regardless of gender, social status, or sexual orientation. Through our fair-trade practices, we focus particularly on supporting single women, the LGBTQI+ community, and other minorities who often face systemic barriers. By treating each person with dignity and ensuring their voices are heard, we work toward a production system where workers are not invisible, but valued contributors to a shared vision of ethical fashion.
With these goals leading us, we continue building a model of production that prioritizes human integrity as much as design and craftsmanship.
