UNEP and UN-Habitat have opened a call for submissions for good practices focusing on zero waste initiatives. Do you have a share-worthy business model, method, process or technique that’s making a difference in reducing waste within the fashion and textile sector? If so, fill in this questionnaire and send it to WasteWiseCities@un.org with the subject title “Zero Waste Good Practices in Fashion and Textiles” by 12 February 2025.
This could include, for instance, an upcycling design approach, waste-reducing technology or a repair practice. Successful submissions will demonstrate sustainability, accountability, replicability, scalability, innovation, inclusivity and technology applicability, as well as a focus on minimising environmental impact and promoting circular economy principles.
The aim of spotlighting good practices is to inspire global action, foster informed decision-making and encourage a collective commitment to a zero-waste future. Please see further information on the criteria here.
