It is very important to have these partnerships to strategise on how to become an effective network of entrepreneurs that really will make the difference in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and be the driver for the needed systemic economic change.

Sourcing Fair Trade shows your commitment to the movement of placing people and the planet first. Customers will see that you are serious about paying fair prices to farmers, artisans and workers. There are several ways you can source Fair Trade products.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Supplier search: Search what you are looking for and get in contact with WFTO-verified Fair Trade Enterprises 

2. Fashion Catalogue: allows you access to fair and sustainable fashion suppliers

3. Beyond Beautiful: This collection is a ‘shop window’ which represents the broader community of Fair Trade Enterprises.

4. WFTO Guaranteed producers: You can also source from Fair Trade Enterprises by looking at online sourcing platforms like Common Objective, and Good Market

5. Ambiente 2023: You can check out some of our members’ products in person at Ambiente 2023 in February 2023

The Fair Trade movement is made up of individuals, organisations, enterprises (SMEs) and networks that share a common vision of a world in which justice, equity and sustainable development are at the heart of trade structures. The Fair Trade Charter offers a concise explanation of the generic objectives and approaches that are common to most Fair Trade initiatives. As WFTO, however, we are going beyond this: we focus more and more on system change and other business models. That’s why we verify the enterprise and not only the products. Click here to read the Charter and get involved. 

We are looking for Business Support Organisations from EU member states and COSME countries to host events to support fashion start-ups in incorporating more circular and sustainable business practices and inspire change.
