READ THE RECOMMENDATIONS ON CSDDD
As part of its strategy to implement the European Green Deal and the Action Plan on Financing Sustainable Growth, the European Commission presented its proposal for a Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). In this paper, NGOs came together to address the parts of the proposal that relate to corporate governance and directors’ obligations. In particular, they pointed out that most of the time, human rights, climate change and environmental consequences are not adequately integrated into business models and strategies. In relation to climate change, they are stressing the importance of having an increased clarity for company obligations when it comes to climate mitigation.
