BusinessRevolution

#BUSINESS REVOLUTION

Let’s be clear: our current economic system isn’t broken — it’s working exactly as designed. Designed to extract. To exploit. To prioritise quarterly profits over planetary survival. And while shareholders stash their pockets with billions, biodiversity vanishes, and workers bear the weight of business models built on greed.

We’ve had enough. WFTO is proposing an alternative way forward — a fair and transformative approach to business. This is what the #BusinessRevolution is about: a radical shift that proves profit can coexist with equity, resilience, and sustainability.

Led by mission-led Fair Trade Enterprises, they are demonstrating that focusing on long-term sustainable production systems that respect both planetary limits and everyone involved can transform both global and local economies while preserving natural ecosystems.

In 2024, we introduced the Business Revolution as our annual campaign to change the way business is done. In 2025, we expanded it from producers all the way to end consumers. Now, in 2026, we’re going back to the source: our planet. By highlighting business models built for purpose, we are pushing for a very much needed systemic change, and we are doing it now, from the ground up, literally.

Everyone can be part of this transformative movement. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, activist, policymaker, or buyer, each of us has a role to play in the #BusinessRevolution. It’s time to rethink how we produce, buy, and consume.

Together, we’re proving that a fair economy isn’t just a vision, it’s a reality taking shape today. Together, we are the Business Revolution!
