World Environment Day (5 June) stands as a key moment within the Business Revolution campaign. One in which we are demonstrating the positive impact Fair Trade Enterprises (FTEs) have on our planet, and why sustainable business models are not only possible, but essential to addressing the defining challenge of our time: climate change.
This global urgency reveals a fundamental truth: business depends on nature, and nature is directly shaped by the way business is done.
Fair Trade Enterprises are leading the way, redefining what success in business truly looks like. They ask the right questions — where does this product come from? What is the true cost of bringing it into the world? — and they continuously seek to improve by upholding the 10 Fair Trade Principles, striving for the highest standards over time. This way of operating is neither arbitrary nor opportunistic. It is a deliberate approach to building business models that serve our planet and, in doing so, the people of today and the generations that follow.
On World Environment Day, we invite you to rethink what business success really means, from the origin of raw materials to the end of a product’s life, through regenerative and circular models that put people and planet first.
