Northern Producer(s) – The following fields only need to be completed if you sell products that were produced in the Global North (“northern”). If this does not apply to you, please move to the next question.
Since the resolution approved by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Delhi in November 2017, new concepts of northern producers and economically marginalized producers were introduced within WFTO. Small-scale producers, artisans or farmers from the Global North complying with WFTO criteria can now be considered Fair Trade Producers.

WFTO is currently working to assess equivalence with other schemes with a certain overlap to the WFTO Standard to avoid – partial – duplication of work during audits. The auditor may ask you to provide reports of these audits.
