TTIP (the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), is a comprehensive free trade deal being negotiated in secret between the US and the EU.
The global day of action against free trade agreements is going to take place on 18 April 2015.
Global Trade Day is held in order to send out a loud and clear signal against trade and investment deals that threaten our democratic rights, food sovereignty, jobs and the environment. Thousands of such agreements already exist around the globe; others are currently being negotiated or ratified. TTIP, TPP, TiSA and CETA are some examples. The celebration of Global Trade Day will be an opportunity to speak out against agreements that affect people directly. It will also be a mean to raise awareness of similar agreements in other parts of the world that are driven by a similar agenda of continuous deregulation and liberalisation.
Join the global day of action and say no to free trade deals for corporations!
